Yakult UK & Ireland

Yakult is a fermented milk drink first created in 1935 by Japanese scientist Dr Minoru Shirota, following his work to select and cultivate a unique strain of lactic acid bacteria, L. casei Shirota. In the UK and Ireland, there are three products available - Yakult Original, Yakult Plus Peach, and Yakult Balance. Each little bottle contains 20 billion L. casei Shirota bacteria which are scientifically proven to reach the gut alive and increase the lactobacilli and bifidobacteria in the gut
