Zoe Whiteside

Zoe studied at the Royal College of Art and Staffordshire University. She was awarded a Crafts Council Grant and has subsequently had studios in London, Brighton and Gothenburg in Sweden. Zoe has resided in Shropshire for over 10 years. Examples of Zoe’s work have been exhibited at The V&A museum and in national touring exhibitions. “My work is celebration of the animal with influence being drawn from antiquity and traditions of ceramic animal sculpture. I try to capture the spirit of the animal with my building techniques. I mix and formulate my own recipes for colour which I hand-paint and fire to earthenware.”
