After a 40-year career in the NHS as a senior doctor and clinical director, witnessing every day the devastating effects of modern life on health, Jenny Connor realised that ‘we are what we eat’. She studied how nutrition lies behind much of our suffering, and learned how the body has the power to self-heal. Further studies into lifestyle medicine, quantum neurobiology, energy healing, psychology, EFT Tapping, NLP, EMDR, and hypnotherapy helped Jenny to better understand the power of the mind. Now, she combines these disciplines to ‘Rewild Humans’ so that they can perform at their best across every aspect of life. “By combining evidence-based lifestyle medicine, whole food plantbased nutrition, behaviour change coaching, solution-focused hypnotherapy, and other neuroscience-informed therapies, I help people improve their physical, emotional, and spiritual health, their energy, confidence, and quality of life… adding years to their lives and life to their years,” Jenny tells us. Working primarily one-to-one with individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes to their health and wellbeing, many clients come to Jenny feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck in unhealthy patterns, struggling with weight, stress, low confidence, burnout, pre-diabetes, or other chronic lifestyle-related health concerns. Many are successful professionals or business owners who recognise that their health is beginning to negatively impact their performance, relationships, and enjoyment of life. With core values of kindness, compassion, integrity, sustainability, generosity, education, empowerment, and connection, Jenny’s coaching approach is compassionate, practical, and highly personalised. “Rather than promoting restrictions or quick fixes, I help clients create positive sustainable habits around what, when, and how they eat, think, move, rest, and live,” she elaborates. “Sessions include nutrition coaching, mindset work, stress management, habit change strategies, hypnotherapy, nature-based wellbeing practices, and ongoing accountability and support.” Alongside one-to-one coaching, Jenny also offers talks, workshops, corporate wellbeing programmes, retreats, and educational experiences through my wider regenerative social enterprise ecosystem based at Dalton Moor Farm in County Durham. The farm itself is a regenerative, veganic food forest and wellbeing venue designed to reconnect people with nature, sustainability, and healthier ways of living. Staying ahead in the health and wellness industry requires a balance between scientific understanding, real-world experience, and the ability to see the bigger picture. To maintain a clear and valid perspective and up-to-date knowledge, one of Jenny’s priorities is continually learning, questioning, and integrating knowledge from multiple disciplines. “At the heart of everything I do is the belief that human health and planetary health are deeply interconnected, and that small, supported changes can create profound transformation for both people and the wider world,” she states. “Experience matters. I have been privileged to work with hundreds of thousands of people who were at their most vulnerable, gaining their trust and supporting them through their health journeys, providing me with valuable insight into the emotional, behavioural, social, and environmental challenges people experience and how these can often hinder lasting change.” One of the biggest obstacles Jenny’s potential clients face is confusion and overwhelm. They may have been hooked in by clever marketing and got no results or felt worse because their ‘quick fix’ coach or therapist didn’t have the necessary skills, depth of knowledge or experience. Clients are often nervous and suspicious about seeking further help. Jenny responds to this by starting with a conversation, building trust, starting where the client is, simplifying complexity, focusing on sustainable foundations, and helping them to make realistic step-bystep changes that fit into their actual lives, making progress rather than striving for perfection. Recently, Jenny was rewarded for her dedication to her cause at the UK Enterprise Awards, where she walked away with the title of Best One-toOne Health & Wellness Coach 2026 – Durham. Now, her intention for 2026 and beyond is to continue creating conversations, programmes, and spaces that help people feel healthier, more empowered, more connected, and more hopeful about their own future and the future of the wider world. This will include more speaking engagements, growing her client base, and continuing to develop the facilities at Dalton Moor Farm and the School of Sustainable Living & Wellbeing to support the environment, conscious food production, and education in nature.
